Returning to Greenville Country Club, the 2023 PKBGT Masters will host some of the best PKBGT players and the top ranked players on the PKBGT P-Index!
The PKBGT Masters, contested this year on April 22-23, features twenty-nine players are ranked in the top 150 in PKBGT’s P-Index and twenty-seven top 1000 ranked players on Junior Golf Scoreboard! With many top players coming to compete in Greenville, the PKBGT Masters will be another exciting tournament on the PKBGT!
There are players from twelve states and one player from outside the United States– let’s take a look inside this year’s field of 85!
Bell National
The highest ranked player in the field this weekend is 14 year old Jenna Kim (Raleigh, NC 2027), who is ranked 2nd on the PKBGT P-Index and 185th on JGS. Kim is playing in her fourth PKB event of the 2023 season and coming off of top five finishes at the Spring Bell Invitational, the 10th PKBGT National Tournament of Champions, and a victory at the 13th CGA-PKBGT Jimmy Anderson Junior Girls’. The 8th ranked player on the P-Index, Emerson B. Dever (Durham, NC 2025), is also tee’ing it up this weekend. Dever is playing well heading into the Masters with top five finishes in her last four PKB starts and is looking for her first victory in 2023! Rounding out the top of the Bell National division is Kasey McIlvaine (Raleigh, NC 2023) who is ranked ninth on the P-Index. McIlvaine has already won on the PKB in 2023 at the Cape Fear Girls Classic and looks to add another trophy to her trophy case!
Prep Preview
13 year old Riley Grimm (Pinehurst, NC 2028) headlines the Prep Preview division and comes into the Masters ranked 14th on the PKBGT P-Index. Grimm has won twice on the PKBGT this year at the 10th PKBGT National Tournament of Champions and the NC Regional Series event at Sapona Golf Club and has four other PKB top 10’s in 2023 as well. Malerie Lague (Huntersville, NC 2025) is coming into this weekend hot with six top-10 finishes in her last seven PKB starts. Coming off a second place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship last weekend is Aspen Bikowski (White Plains, MD 2027). Bikowski won the 2023 River Landing Girls Classic and has five more top-10’s on the PKB in 2023!
Futures National
There are plenty of rising stars in the field this week and many are teeing it up in the Futures National division. Gabriella Collelo (Pinehurst, NC 2029) won her last PKB start at the North Carolina Series event at Sapona Golf Club and has finished in the top-6 in all her PKB National starts in 2023! Madison Woodrum (Statesboro, GA 2029) has had several strong tournaments recently including a runner-up finish at the Orange Whip Girls Classic and a victory at the RocketTour Players Championship! Lina Polteraitis (Florence, SC 2026) is seeking her first PKB victory in the 2023 season and her game is in great shape with six top-10 finishes so far this season!
