Inside the Field: 2023 Spring Bell Invitational

Returning to the newly renovated Birdwood Golf Course at Boar’s Head Resort, the 2023 Spring Bell Invitational is shaping up to be one of the best fields from top to bottom the tour has ever seen.

The Spring Bell Invitational, contested this year on March 25-27, features one of the highest-ranked fields ever! Thirty-eight players are ranked in the top 150 in PKBGT’s P-Index including six of the top 10! The Spring Bell Invitational continues to bring together the top PKB players from across the country to compete for the championship!

With players from fourteen states and two players from outside the United States– let’s take a look inside this year’s field of 54!

Highest Ranked Players

Playing in her first PKB event of the new year, Kathryn Ha (Roanoke, VA 2025) is looking to pickup where she left off in 2022. Ha has finished in the top six in her last four PKB starts including her defense of the PKBGT Tour Championship last August. Ha is ranked #4 on PKBGT Performance Index and #142 on JGS. Just behind Ha is Elsie MacCleery (Crozet, VA 2025) at #6 on the PKBGT Performance Index and #221 on JGS. MacCleery is heading to Birdwood in great form following her three PKB win’s in 2022 at the PKBGT Regional Tournament of Champions, the Kandi Comer Girls Classic, and the 10th PKBGT National Tournament of Champions.

Youngsters in the Field

They say age is just a number, which proves to be true for the seven players in the field from the class of 2027! Alisa Davidova (Roanoke, VA 2027), Maria Isabella Errichetto (Southern Pines, NC 2027), Ashnoor Kaur (Roanoke, VA 2027), Jenna Kim (Raleigh, NC 2027), Arabella Lopez (Ridgefield, CT 2027), Kennedy MacCleery (Crozet, VA 2027), and Hallie Wilson (Winston Salem, NC 2027) who all enter the field at 14 years old or younger. While they be young in age, they have earned their way into the field and look to add an impressive victory to their resumes!

In addition to class of 2027, the field features six from 2026, twenty-two from 2025, thirteen from 2024, and six from the graduating class of 2023.
