Preview: Valley Junior Girls Classic

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour returns to Hidden Valley Country Club in Salem, VA, for the annual Valley Junior Girls Classic. A partnership event with Valley Junior Girls Open Scholarship Fund will feature a field of forty-six players from seven states at one of the best facilities in western Virginia. 

 

Bell National

Twenty-two players will tee it up on the 5800 yards par 72 set up in the Bell National division.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Kathryn Ha — Roanoke, VA  — Class of 2025 — #8 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Gianna Papa — Foster, RI — Class of 2025 — #79 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Macy Johnson — Salem, VA — Class of 2025 — #127 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, June 5, at 12:30 PM EST (weather permitting).

 

Futures National

Twenty-four players will tee it up on the 5275 yards par 72 set up in the Futures National division.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Vincenza “Vinny” Papa — Foster, RI — Class of 2026 — #133 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Ellie Acrey — Winston-Salem, NC — Class of 2026 — #230 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Madison Yom —Burke, VA — Class of 2024 — #274 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, June 5, at 12:30 PM EST (weather permitting).

 

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
