Preview: Dupont Girls Classic

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour returns to Dupont Country Club after a year off due to COVID-19 for the annual Dupont Girls Classic. Dupont Country Club, former host of the LPGA Championship will be a true test for this full field representing 10 states.

Bell National

In the Bell National division, forty-eight players will tee it up on the 5812 yards par 72 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Sarah Lydic — Ocean View, DE  — Class of 2024 — #10 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Victoria Kim — West Chester, PA — Class of 2022 — #23 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Irene Kim — Woodstock, MD — Class of 2026 — #33 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, May 15, at 10:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

 

Futures National

In the Futures National division, twenty-four players will tee it up on the 5244 yards par 72 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Makayla Grubb — Stafford, VA — Class of 2025 — #108 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Vincenza “Vinny” Papa — Foster, RI — Class of 2026 — #114 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Riley Grimm — Pinehurst, NC — Class of 2028 — #164 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, May 15, at 10:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
