Rocket Tour has been the presenting sponsor of the Players Championship since 2015. As a part of the sponsorship, custom limited edition PKBGT knit headcovers are given out as a tournament gift. PKBGT players sport these limited edition headcovers with pride, knowing they earned the right to play in the prestigious Rocket Tour Players Championship. The Rocket Tour Players Championship has steadily grown into one of the most popular events to compete in on tour. This year, in the ninth edition of the Players Championship, the tour received more applications to play than any other year!

Founded in 2004, Rocket Tour designs headcovers that are a “unique mix of classic and modern with a stylish fun twist to encourage self-expression.” The fine quality knit covers are personally designed by founder Helena Stanton and hand-finished in Boulder, Colorado. Rocket Tour currently outfits more than 250 collegiate golf programs, junior golf programs, state golf associations, and charity initiatives.

“We are thrilled to be the PKBGT presenting sponsor for the 7th consecutive year. I look forward to the Rocket Tour Players Championship every year” says Helena Stanton, Rocket Tour Founder and CEO. “The PKBGT team does an amazing job, and it is remarkable to see so many gifted girls compete at such a high level. I could not be more proud to be the host sponsor. Rocket Tour is committed to developing the game and believes that tournaments such as this event are important to junior golf as competition is a main ingredient for future participation. We hope these girls go as far as the game will take them and look forward to seeing many of them join their peers at top university programs around the country.”

“The Girls Golf of America Foundation and the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour are proud to partner with Rocket Tour Golf to promote girls golf,” Mike Parker, PKBGT Director stated. “Rocket Tour is a long-standing supporter of girls competitive golf, and the girls display the custom headcover in their golf bags with pride.”

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2021-2022 season will feature over 110 tournaments in 10 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.  Learn more about the PKBGT at http://www.pkbgt.org/.
