Stone Mountain, GA-The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour concluded play of the 2020-2021 kickoff at the Atlanta Girls Classic hosted at Stone Mountain Golf Club. Seventeen players vied for an elusive automatic exemption into the 2020 PKBGT Tournament of Champions in early December at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC. Both of the overnight leaders ran away in their respective divisions to claim their first PKBGT National titles of their careers.
In the small field, everyone had a reasonable chance to snag the spot into the 2o2o PKBGT Tournament of Champions. Yedam Lee (Lawrenceville, GA 2021) had other plans after her opening round 77 (+5), which included four birdies and gave her a four-shot overnight lead. Yedam followed R1 with an identical round two score of 77 to finish (+10) for the tournament. Yedam captured the NC Series Gate City Classic earlier this year. Lee’s best Bell finish occurred at the Peachtree Classic, where she finished T12.

3. Olivia Pellerin (Greenville, SC 2024) / 80 / 89 = 169 (+25)
Two were tied atop the leaderboard after the first round with Caroline Hawkins (Columbia, SC 2026) and Emerson Elm (Suwanee, GA 2025), holding a slim overnight lead. Hawkins and Elm opened the Atlanta Girls Classic with rounds of 79 (+7). Elm struggled on day two while the Carolina girl excelled, firing an identical final round 79 (+7) to capture her maiden title by eight shots! Hawkins game has been trending upward for the past month and a half with two top 3 finishes on the Futures National circuit and a T28 finish at the Tour Championship. With the victory, Caroline receives an automatic invitation to the 2020 PKBGT Tournament of Champions hosted at Forest Creek Golf Club in early December.

About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina. The Tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the Tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2020 season will feature over 110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only Tour in the country.
