PKBGT Announces Georgia Storie Order of Merit Winners

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is pleased to announce the three recipients of the 2021 Storie Order of Merit for the inaugural PKBGT Georgia Series in partnership with Georgia State Golf Association Junior Tour and LPGA*USGA Girls Golf. The Georgia Series spanned over three months around the Peach State. A total of 114 players competed at seven events.

 

Prep Georgia

 

Saanvi Venkatesh (Marietta, GA 2024) played in just two Prep Georgia events this season, but she made the most of those two starts with a medalist finish at the series finale at the Culb at Lake Sinclair and runner-up at Braelinn Golf Club.

Sargent concluded the KY Series with a scoring average a sliver over 80 and with a scoring differential of 8.27. Venkatesh, a consistency machine, made par on 56% of the holes she played with a 3.58 par-three scoring average.

Futures Georgia

Ira Sivaram (Alpharetta, GA 2026) will be joining Venkatesh as the Futures Regional representative at the 2022 Linville Cup after capturing the first PKBGT Georgia Storie Order of Merit title. Sivaram, a one-time winner this season, finished inside the top-five in the three events she competed in this season,

Caine closed the GA schedule with an 81.00 scoring average, with her best score being a 77 at the Club at Lake Sinclair.

Over the course of the season, Sivaram finished second at the series finale, medalist honors at Braelinn Golf Club and a solo fifth at Sugar Creek.

Discovery Georgia

Vivian Lott (Fayetteville, GA 2029) will be the third and final member from the Peach State at the 2022 Linville Cup at Mid Pines Golf and Lodge in January. Like her Order of Merit counterparts, Lott won medalist honors at one event this season.

Lott concluded the GA schedule with a 9-hole scoring average of 38.25. Her best round came at Sugar Creek where she fired a (-2) score of 34 to win.

Vivian grabbed all three podium positions at one point this season.

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
