Preview: River Landing Girls Classic

The PKBGT National Series heads just miles east down I-40 to Wallace, NC next weekend for the River Landing Girls Classic played at River Landing Country Club.

Thirty-one competitors will compete at the third PKBGT National event of the 2020 season played at the host course of numerous collegiate events.

Bell Division

In the Bell division, 8 players will compete on the 5,835 yard setup to earn one last spot in the 2019 PKBGT Tournament of Champions. In addition, the event serves as a way to earn crucial Order of Merit spots and Performance Index recognition heading into a season filled with PKBGT Priority Based Entry fields.

Top ranked players in the field include:

  • Cindy Song — Waxhaw, NC — Class of 2023 — #3 on the PKBGT Performance Index — #314 Nationally
  • McKenzie Daffin — Fayetteville, NC — Class of 2021— #101 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Katelyn Kenthack — Southern Pines, NC — Class of 2020 — #139 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Futures Division

The Futures National field, playing a 5,134 yard setup, features 23 players from across the state and beyond. Also at stake next weekend for the Futures National division is a final chance to qualify for the 2019 PKBGT Tournament of Champions in December.

Players to watch include:

  • Emerson B. Dever — Durham, NC — Class of 2025 — #9 on the 2019 PKBGT Futures National Order of Merit
  • Ellie Hildreth — Wilmington, NC — Class of 2025 — #17 on the 2019 PKBGT Futures National Order of Merit
  • Kasey McIlvaine — Raleigh, NC — Class of 2023 — #3 on the 2020 PKBGT Futures National Order of Merit
