Preview: Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf heads back to the DMV for the final Championship event of the Mid-Atlantic at Musket Ridge Golf Club for the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship. Seven states will be represented in the two divisions, including Rhode Island, Louisiana, Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania. Musket Ridge Golf Club, voted Maryland’s most scenic golf course, will welcome some of the area’s best for a showdown in the rolling hills of Maryland.

Bell National

In the Bell National division, thirty-two players will compete on the 6001 yards par 72 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Liza Lapeyre — New Orleans, LA — Class of 2022 — #33 on the PKBGT Performance Index, Winner of HJ Glove Championship
  • Vileska Gelpi —Markleton, PA  — Class of 2021 — #45 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Victoria Kim — West Chester, PA — Class of 2022 — #47 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Futures National

In the Futures National division, twenty-five players will compete on the 5,396 yards par 72 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Kanchana Duangsam — Haymarket, VA — Class of 2026— #163 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Kathryn Ha — Roanoke, VA — Class of 2025 — #164 on the PKBGT Performance Index, Winner of last 5 Futures National Events
  • Katie Vu— Fairfax Station, VA  — Class of 2024 — #205 on the PKBGT Performance Index

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
