Recap: NC One-Day Series at Bermuda Run CC (West)

On Saturday, July 28th, the 2018 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the North Carolina One-Day Series at Bermuda Run Country Club.

The NC One-Day Series will include 11 One-Day tournaments in North Carolina, concluding with a two-day Series Finale at the end of the season. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The North Carolina One-Day Series event at Bermuda Run Country Club features a field of 48 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

The Champion of the Prep Series is Camryn Lamp (Conover, NC 2021) with a score of 80. Victoria Ladd (Greensboro, NC 2019) finished runner-up with a score of 81. There was a two-way tie for 3rd place. Aleigha Hodges (Ridgeway, VA 2018) and Kayla Dowell (Mebane, NC 2021) both finished the day at 83. Aleigha won the scorecard playoff and finished in 3rd place. Kayla finished in 4th place.

There was a two-way tie for 1st place in the Futures Division. Anna Howerton (Kernersville, NC 2023) and Gabriela Cruz (High Point, NC 2021) both finished the day with scores of 77. Anna won the playoff and was named the Champion of the Futures Series. Gabriela finished runner-up. Macy Pate (Boone, NC 2023)  finished the day in 3rd place with a score of 78. Kyleigh Harnsberger (Advance, NC 2021) finished in 4th place with a score of 80.
