Preview: ProQuip Girls Classic at NC State Lonnie Pool Golf Course

On July 21-22, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the ProQuip Girls Classic at NC State Lonnie Pool Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event features a field of 65  players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. They will tackle the course at 5,831 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,020 yards in the Futures National Division.

Featured in the 31 player Bell National Division are Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022), Paris Fieldings  (Suffolk, VA 2023) and Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, NC 2022). Maria is currently ranked 15th on the Bell National Order of Merit and finished 1st at the Gate City Classic at Forest Oaks Country Club and finished runner-up at the Precision Jr. Girls Championship at Bryan Park GC. Paris is currently ranked 32nd on the Bell National Order of Merit. She finished 5th at the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship at Hillendale CC. Alexia is currently ranked 24th on the Bell National Order of Merit and she was the champion at the Coastal Carolina Classic at the Hackler Golf Course.

Featured in the 34 player Futures National Division are Kalina Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2021), Megan Morris (Cary, NC 2021),  Amber Mackiewicz (Virginia Beach, VA  2023).  Kalina is currently ranked 6th on the Futures National Order of Merit and had a 3rd place finish at the Coastal Carolina Classic at the Hackler Golf Course. Megan is currently ranked 11th on the Futures National Order of Merit and she had a 2nd place finish at the PKBGT Masters at Greenville CC.  Amber is currently ranked 1st on the Futures National Order of Merit and finished 3rd at the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship at Hillendale CC.

Everyone looks to continue their success this weekend at the ProQuip Girls Classic at NC State Lonnie Poole GC! The tournament brings together players from Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia. We look forward to a great event!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
