Recap: Revo Girls Classic at The University of Maryland GC

On July 14-15, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the Revo Girls Classic at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland. The event featured a field of 43 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. They will tackle the course at 5,833 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,209 yards in the Futures National Division.

The champion of the Bell National Division is Alyssa Wang (Rockville, MD 2021) with a score of 73-71= 144. Faith Mcilvain (Ellicott City, MD 2020) finished runner-up with a score of 78-71= 149. Sue Lee (Lorton, VA 2022) finished in 3rd place with a score of 75-74=149. Finishing in 4th place with a score of 76-76=152 is Hannah Hankim (Potomac, MD 2021). Ester Choi (Midlothian, VA 2021) finished in 5th place with a score of 76-76=152.

The champion of the Futures National Division is Phoenix Smith (Chesapeake, VA 2020) with a two-day total of 75-74-149. Catherine Qiu (Great Falls, VA 2024) finished runner-up with a two-day total of 80-71- 151. Melanie Walker (Burke, VA 2022- 81-75) and Josephine Nguyen (Springfield, VA 2024- 76-80) finished in a tie for 3rd place with a two day total of 156. Finishing in 5th place with a two-day total of 81-79- 160 is Emily Wang (McLean, VA 2024).

The PKBGT is back in action July 21-22 for the ProQuip Girls Classic at Lonnie Poole GC at NC State University. We look forward to a great event!
