Preview: NC One-Day Series Event at Mill Creek

On , August 4th, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Mill Creek Country Club. One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event features a field of BLANK players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

The Prep Series field features Hailey Joy (Reidsville, NC 2018) and Natalie Warren (Raleigh, NC 2017). Joy is 41th on the 2016 PKBGT Performance Index and was the champion at the NC One-Day Series at Pinewood CC event this season. Warren is 29th on the PKBGT Prep Order of Merit and has had 4 top-15 finishes this season. 

Featured in Futures Series field is Amanda Kang (Kernersville, NC 2021), Anna Hillman (Summerfield, NC 2018), and  Mackensi Hall (Graham, NC, NC 2018). Kang is ranked 11th the Futures One-Day Order of Merit and has also recorded 3 Top-5 finishes this season. Hillman is coming in this event with a two top-5 finished in the past month and is 22 in the PKBGT Futures One-Day Order of Merit. Hall is coming off Top-5 finish and career round at the NC One-Day Series at Bermuda Run West.

The One-Day Open Series at Mill Creek Country Club brings together players from North Carolina and Virginia. It should be a great event!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
