Due to the accumulation of over 3 inches of snow at the golf course and the continued winter weather continuing in the Southeast, we have decided to POSTPONE the event for this weekend and reschedule for a future date.
For our returning membership, you know the PKBGT will play in almost any condition but unfortunately, Mother Nature has prevented this weekend from being possible. Evaluating temperature forecasts, we are not confident that the course will be playable for play at all this weekend on top of the concerns for travel. Weighing these factors, we feel it is best to postpone this event.
So, here is what you need to know going forward:
- The event will be rescheduled for Saturday-Sunday, March 22-23, 2014. Due to scheduling conflicts, the event will not be able to be held at Chateau Élan. We will be selecting a new course to host the event within the region (GA/SC/TN) as soon as possible.
- All players currently in the field will be transferred to this new event date. The new event will be re-opened for new entrants as well as allow current players to withdrawal from the event with no penalty if the new date does not work for your schedule. The new deadline date will be Monday, March 10. If you need to withdrawal, please email golf@pkbgt.org and our staff will process it for you.
- Due to the over 8 inches and counting of snow and freezing rain here in Greensboro, PKBGT offices will be closed today and tomorrow and re-open on Monday, February 17 at 9 AM. We will have limited access to email and phone during this time if you have any questions or concerns.
