On Saturday-Sunday, September 27-28, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Mid-Atlantic Fall Preview at Draper Valley Golf Club. Draper Valley, home to the Radford University men’s and women’s golf teams, is an beautiful course for this two-day fall qualifier tournament. The event features a field of 21 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf. The participants will be vying for five coveted invitations to the PKBGT INVITATIONAL at Grandover Resort (East Course) in November.
The field features 21 girls, highlighted by seven of the top-100 players on the PKBGT Performance Index, including: Grace Massengill (Hickory, NC 2016) ranked 49th, Kathryn Carson (Mooresville, NC 2017) ranked 60th, Moon Cheong (Charlotte, NC 2017) ranked 70th, Roshnee Sharma (Waxhaw, NC 2016) ranked 71st, Erin Moore (Westfield, NC 2015) ranked 78th, Kendall Taylor (McLean, VA 2016) ranked 83rd, and Emily Hawkins (Lexington, NC 2018) ranked 100th..
The Mid-Atlantic Fall Preview at Draper Valley Golf Club brings together players from Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, and Ontario, Canada. The top-five finishers will each receive an invitation to the PKBGT INVITATIONAL at Grandover Resort (East Course). The event brings together some of the best golfers on the East coast and in the Midwest. It is a highly ranked event by Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, AJGA Performance Based Entry, and Junior Golf Scoreboard. This event should not be missed!
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
