On Sunday, May 25, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the second round of the PKBGT BELL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP at Country Club of Salisbury. The course is tricky, but regardless, a great venue for the third championship event of the season. The event features a field of 59 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
In the Bell Division, after round two, Payton Schanen (Milton, GA 2015) is leading the field by three strokes after shooting a score 71 for a two-day total of 144. Not far behind Schanen is Delaney Shah (North Potomac, MD 2016) who shot a score of 74 for a two-day total of 147 and Jessica Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) who shot a score of 75 for a two-day total of 148.
Weather for Monday’s round looks fabulous with temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s. Looks like a beautiful forecast for the final round of the PKBGT BELL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP @ CC of Salisbury!
