The PKBGT Collegiate Amateur is the second collegiate event of the 2018 schedule. The event featured a field of 8 players, where they tackled the difficult Jack Nicklaus layout at 6,052 yards.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/images\/courses\/salemglen.gif\" alt=\"\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"20\" vspace=\"20\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The champion of the collegiate amateur is Maya White (Fletcher, NC\/Western Carolina University). White posted two consistent rounds of 74-75 (+4) to win by one stroke. White is a rising sophomore at Western Carolina University. Finishing right behind White is Olivia Zambruno (Mt. Pleasant, PA \/ Penn State University) who posted scores of 75-75 to earn a second place finish. White is also a rising sophomore at Penn State. In third place is Rebecca Black (Elizabethtown, KY\/ UNC Asheville), a rising junior at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, posted rounds of 79-75.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Good luck to all our collegiate players in their upcoming collegiate seasons!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 500 members in 2016 and \u00a0over 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
