Moss Creek, home to the NCAA Southern Conference Women\u2019s Golf Championship and the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford College, is among the finest in all of the Lowcountry golf courses and Devils Elbow North is a great course for this exclusive, invitation-only major championship. To have earned an invitation, players must have: won (or finished runner-up when the champion is ineligible) a 2013 PKBGT event, placed in the top-3 at a 2013 PKBGT Major Championship, or won a Bell Division 2012 PKBGT event. The event featured a field of 19 players. The field was quite strong with 12 of the top 30 players on the 2013 PKBGT Order of Merit lists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Jessica Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) is golden!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Bell Division, Spicer carded three over par with a score of 75 to place first with a total score of 150. Madison Moosa (Charlotte, NC 2017) carded six over par with a score of 78 to place second with a total score of 155. Elizabeth Bose (Norfolk, VA 2015) and Grace Yatawara (Salisbury, NC 2016) tied for third with totals scores of 157 each. Savannah Gowarty (Raleigh, NC 2015) placed fifth with a total score of 159.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Futures Division, Morgan Laird (Waxhaw, NC 2015) carded 10 over par with a score of 82 to place first with a total score of 162. Samantha Vodry (Mooresville, NC 2016) carded 13 over par with a score of 85 to place second with a total score of 163. Natalie Petersen (Holly Springs, NC 2017) carded eight over par with a score of 80 to place third with a total score of 165.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Spicer, Moosa, Bose, Yatawara, Gowarty, and Laird will all receive invitations to the <a href=\"http:\/\/pkb.shotstat.com\/Tour\/TournamentDetail.aspx?TID=1018\">PKBGT INVITATIONAL<\/a> which is being held at Grandover Resort (East Course) in Greensboro, NC in November.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> is an initiative of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 330 members in 2012, 137 alumni in the collegiate ranks and 29 National Letter of Intent signees for fall 2013.
