Kingsmill Resort, home of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lpga.com\/golf\/tournaments\/lpga\/kingsmill-championship.aspx\">2012 LPGA Kingsmill Championship<\/a>, proved a challenging course for the final day of this two-day event. The event features a field of 44 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 400 members and 94 alumni in the collegiate ranks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the Bell Division, Elizabeth Bose (Norfolk, VA 2015) carded four over par with a score of 76 to place first with 76 + 76 = 152. When asked about her win at Kingsmill, Bose said, &#8220;It was a really fun weekend. Both courses were great and I really enjoyed playing at Kingsmill.&#8221; Lauren Kruszewski (Chesapeake, VA 2013) carded 10 over par with a score of 82 to place second with 78 + 82 = 160. Allison Cooper (Harrisburg, PA 2015) carded nine over par with a score of 81 to place third with 79 + 81 = 160.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the Futures Division, Holly McCann (Raleigh, NC 2019) carded 10 over par with a score of 82 to place first with 81 + 82 = 163. Scotti McGowan (Southern Pines, NC 2015) carded 12 over par with a score of 84 to place second with 81 + 84 = 165.\u00a0Katie Turk (Blacksburg, VA 2015)\u00a0carded 15 over par with a score of 87 to place third with 80 + 87 = 167.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PKBGT returns Thursday, July 5 with the <a href=\"http:\/\/pkb.shotstat.com\/Tour\/TournamentDetail.aspx?TID=403\">One-Day Open Series @ Forest Oaks CC<\/a> in Greensboro, NC. It should be an exciting &amp; challenging event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> is an initiative of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
