Pinehurst, N.C. (Dec. 15, 2025) \u2014<\/strong> With the biting cold greeting everyone at the start of both days, all 60 players looked forward to crowning the champion of champions at the 13th National Tournament of Champions. Between the below-freezing temperatures and high gusts found during the second day, play was cut down to 27 holes in order to keep players warm and healthy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Bell National division, Ira Joshi<\/strong> (Pinehurst, N.C. 2029) was the only player in the field to shoot under par both days, allowing her to take home the winning hardware and claim the title of “Champion of Champions.” She finished the weekend with a two-day total of 71-34 \u2014 105 (-3). Making five birdies over both days, Sophie Dinh<\/strong> (Duluth, Ga. 2030) ended the tournament taking home second place with a score of 72-36 \u2014 108 (E).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the only other player to finish the first round under par, Riley Grimm<\/strong> (Pinehurst, N.C. 2028) concluded the weekend tied for second with a two-day total of 71-37 \u2014 108 (E). With 20 holes of par or better, Rachel Joyce<\/strong> (Pinehurst, N.C. 2026) finished tied for fourth, ending the tournament with a score of 75-35 \u2014 110 (+2). With eight birdies made over both rounds, Madison Woodrum<\/strong> (Statesboro, Ga. 2029) finished the weekend tied with Joyce for fourth place with a two-day total of 74-36 \u2014 110 (+2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Prep Preview division, Mckenzie Mueller<\/strong> (Wake Forest, N.C. 2028) had 21 holes of par or better over both rounds, nine of which were in a row, helping her to finish in first place. As the other “Champion of Champions,” Mueller concluded the weekend with a score of 74-39 \u2014 113 (+5). Making three birdies between both days, Evelyn Rose Aquilino<\/strong> (Acworth, Ga. 2028) took second, finishing the weekend with a two-day total of 74-40 \u2014 114 (+6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 15 holes of par or better made during the first round alone, Autumn Solesbee<\/strong> (Stanley, N.C. 2031) tied with Aquilino for second place, ending the tournament with a score of 73-41 \u2014 114 (+6). Making three birdies during the shortened second round alone, Hadley Kate Elvington<\/strong> (Leland, N.C. 2031) finished fourth, with a two-day total of 82-36 \u2014 118 (+10). With two birdies made during the first round alone, Olivia Nam<\/strong> (Chantilly, Va. 2031) placed fifth, concluding the weekend with a two-day score of 80-39 \u2014 119 (+11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to the champions of the 13th National Tournament of Champions and all of our medalists from this weekend! Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
