Greensboro, NC –<\/strong> On Sunday, August 28th, the <\/i>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> played a North Carolina Series event at Wildwood Green Golf Club.<\/i><\/p>\n

The North Carolina Series headed to Wildwood Green Golf Club on Sunday. Players were eager to get their rounds underway and take on the challenging course. At the end of the rounds and three playoffs, three champions were crowned.<\/p>\n

Prep Division<\/b><\/h2>\n

Jillian Fatkin<\/strong>\u00a0(Oak Island, NC 2024) defeated Sloane Spessard<\/strong>\u00a0(Raleigh, NC 2024) in a playoff to claim the Prep division title. Fatkin made two birdies on her round and played her last 7 holes in one-under to get into the sudden-death playoff. Spessard made pars on 7 of her first 9 holes and matched Fatkin’s round of 77(+5) and finished second. Breannon Council<\/strong>\u00a0(Wilson, NC 2024) made two birdies and shot an even-par 36 on the back nine to finish in third. Mary Earhart<\/strong>\u00a0(Pinehurst, NC 2024) made pars on 7 of her last 8 holes propelling her to an 81(+9) and fourth place finish.<\/p>\n

Futures Division<\/h2>\n

A playoff was needed to determine the Futures division champion. Following her round which included two birdies,\u00a0Nadeen Elkassem\u00a0<\/b>(Raleigh, NC 2025) came out of the playoff victorious. Madison Park<\/strong>\u00a0(Charlotte, NC 2026) finished runner-up and carded four birdies on Sunday. Sarah Enright<\/strong>\u00a0(Wilmington, NC 2024) birdied the par-5 7th and finished in solo third place. Aviva Wang<\/strong>\u00a0(Cary, NC 2026) started the round on the right note with a birdie on the first hole and would finish the tournament in fourth place.<\/p>\n

Discovery Division<\/h2>\n

Just like the Prep and Futures division, the Discovery division ended in a tie for first place. Makenzie Aaron<\/strong> (Browns Summit, NC 2029) and Kayla Jackson\u00a0<\/b>(Charlotte, NC 2031) both scored 37(+2) and tied for first. Both players made one birdie and six pars during their round. Aaron would end up winning in a playoff. Addy Arnold<\/strong>\u00a0(Marvin, NC 2028) made four pars during her round and finished in third place. Zoe Jeon<\/strong>\u00a0(Raleigh, NC 2032) made an impressive four birdies over her nine holes and finished in fourth.<\/p>\n
