Greensboro, NC –<\/strong> On Saturday, August 27th, the <\/i>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> played a Middle Atlantic Series event at Hillendale Country Club.<\/i><\/p>\n

The Middle Atlantic Series had an event at Hillendale Country Club on Saturday. Players arrived early eager to get ready for their rounds with play beginning at 12:00 pm. At the end of the day, three players rose to the top of their divisions and won the Middle Atlantic Series at Hillendale CC.<\/p>\n

Prep Division<\/b><\/h2>\n

Lila Becker<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>(Woodstock, MD 2025) caught fire Saturday and birdied three holes in a row. She made the turn at even par and wound up shooting a 76(+3) giving her a 5 shot victory. Felicity Chen<\/strong>\u00a0(Reston, VA \u00a02024) birdied two holes including the 18th hole to push her into a tie for second place. Marina Lin<\/strong> (McLean, VA 2025) had a pair of birdies herself and matched Chen’s 81(+8) to finish T2.<\/p>\n

Futures Division<\/h2>\n

Isabelle LeBlanc<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>(Bethesda, MD 2026) made five birdies during her round including a stretch of three in four holes on the back nine. Her hot day lead her to a 78(+5) and a four stroke victory. Lani Park<\/strong> (Columbia, MD 2025) made a birdie on the par-4 14th hole and finished in solo second place. Caitlyn Navaleza<\/strong>\u00a0(Baltimore, MD 2026) made 7 pars on her opening nine in route to a 40(+3) and finished in a tie for third. Matching Navaleza’s 83(+10) was Claire Son<\/strong> (Frederick, MD 2027) who birdied the 14th hole as well.<\/p>\n

Discovery Division<\/h2>\n

Multiple playoff holes was needed to determine the Discovery division champion. Dahlia Garnick\u00a0<\/b>(Wilmington, DE 2029) outlasted Sy Shafie<\/strong> (Laytonsville, MD 2028) on the second playoff hole to claim the trophy. Garnick’s round was highlighted by a pair of birdies on the 6th and 8th holes. Shafie had a pair of birdies as well, birding the fourth and fifth holes. Angela Yao<\/strong> (Potomac, MD 2028) made a birdie on the par-5 5th and finished in a tie for third with Madeline Navaleza<\/strong>\u00a0(Baltimore, MD 2028). Navaleza had five pars over her nine holes.<\/p>\n
