The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> opened play at the 19th Precision Girls’ Junior Championship presented by Precision Golf Schools on the Champions Course at Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC. The scores, much like today’s weather went hot and cold, concluding with just three rounds between the two divisions under par.<\/i><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

Kathryn Ha<\/strong> (Roanoke, VA 2025), a seasoned veteran on the PKB Girls’ Tour, will sleep on another lead after her opening round 71 (-1) on the Champions Course at Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC. Kathryn hit the gas right off the start line making birdie on her opening three holes and tabbed an additional blue number on number eleven landing a wedge softly just a foot from the hole for a tap in birdie. The Roanoke native faltered on the way in struggling to stay hot during a brief rainshower bogeying the final hole. Ava Lucas<\/strong> (Raleigh, NC 2021), who will celebrate her eighteenth birdie with the PKB tomorrow at her final junior event before she begins her collegiate career at Methodist, sits in second place after an opening-round 72 (E).<\/p>\n

Futures National<\/h2>\n

We were expecting a shootout in the Futures National division, and it looks like were are getting exactly what we ordered. Jenna Kim<\/strong> (Raleigh, NC 2027) and Kanchana Duangsam<\/strong> (Haymarket, VA 2026) will sleep on the overnight lead once again tying the low round of the day at 71 (-1). Kim and Duangsam were one of the fortunate few in the field to not be disrupted by the rain showers and varying wind gusts in the afternoon. Jenna is hunting for her sixth Futures National title this season, and Duangsam is looking to snag her second PKBGT Championship event of the 2021 season. Cailyn Park<\/strong> (Fairfax, VA 2025) will join Jenna and Kanchana in the final pairing.<\/p>\n
