Palmyra, VA-<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0travels to the Commonwealth-State for the Commonwealth Classic at Lake Monticello Golf Club. For the first time this season, the PKB Girls\u2019 Tour will host two National Series events over the same weekend. Nine States and some players from Canada will compete in the two divisions for the title.<\/i><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

Angelina Tolentino <\/b>(Mt. Laurel, NJ 2024) takes the lead at the Commonwealth Classic after her opening round 71 (-1) at Lake Monticello Golf Course. Tolentino made six birdies on the day and was the only player in the field to fire a red number on Saturday. Alina Ho<\/strong> (Great Falls, VA 2024) and Katelynn Waclawski<\/strong> (Vienna, VA 2022) will join Tolentino in the final pairing.<\/p>\n

Vincenza Papa<\/strong> (Foster, RI 2026) holds the overnight lead in the Futures National division thanks to her opening round 76 (+4). Just two shots off Papa are Madison Lehr (Mechanicsville, VA 2024), who had success in the Commonwealth, and Jennifer Osborne<\/strong> (Ashburn, VA 2024). Vinny carded three birdies on the day.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.\u00a0 The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
