On Saturday, March 30, the 2019 <\/span>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/span><\/a> played the <\/span>Central Florida Series at Rogers Park, FL<\/span><\/a> in Tampa, FL. The PKBGT is excited to be working in partnership with <\/span>Insurance Office of America <\/span><\/a>as the presenting sponsor of the series for the second year in a row!<\/span><\/p>\n

These PKBGT regional events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. <\/span>The PKBGT Series Progression<\/span><\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Futures Division<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Taking home the championship in the Futures Division, was <\/span>Madison Garrett <\/b>(Tampa, FL 2019) after shooting a score of 74 (+3). Garrett found her stride on the back nine where she birdied back-to-back holes en route to victory. <\/span><\/p>\n

Finishing in second place with a final score of 81 (+10) was <\/span>Tiffany Colin <\/b>(Wesley Chapel, FL 2023). Colin had a birdie on the fifth hole of her afternoon. In third place was <\/span>Andrea Woods <\/b>(Riverview, FL 2023) with a final score of 82 (+11). Woods found her best success on the 16th hole with a birdie. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cameron Spellman <\/b>(Heathrow, FL 2022) finished in fourth place with a final score of 83 (+12). Rounding out the top five was <\/span>Alyssa Mixon<\/b> (Wesley Chapel, FL 2023) with a score of 85 (+13). Mixon birdied back-to-back holes on her back nine as the highlight of her round. <\/span><\/p>\n

Discovery Division<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Champion of the Discovery Division was <\/span>Bretton Mackiewicz<\/b> (Longwood, FL 2025) who posted a score of one-over par 37 to win the trophy. <\/span>Willda Kuang <\/b>(Lakewood Ranch, FL 2027)<\/span> finished in second place with a score of 42 (+6).<\/span><\/p>\n

In a two-way tie for third place were <\/span>Brynn Pressimone <\/b>(Longwood, FL 2026) and <\/span>Tiffanie Tran <\/b>(Braedonton, FL 2025). Both girls finished with scores of 43 (+7) on the afternoon. \u00a0Closing out the top five was <\/span>Briel Royce <\/b>(Orlando, FL 2027), who came in fifth place with a score of 44 (+8).<\/span><\/p>\n

About the PKBGT Regional Series<\/b><\/h2>\n

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels but are a great place for development golfers to \u201cget into the swing of things\u201d playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The Central Florida Regional Series Kickoff event features a field of 24 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<\/span><\/p>\n
