Walker Course @ Clemson UniversityThe 2012 PKB Girls’ Golf Tour tees off this weekend with the SC University Classic @ The Walker Course at Clemson University. The Walker Course makes its debut on the tour this year adding another collegiate course to the schedule. Home of the Tigers, this 18-hole championship John E. Walker Sr. Golf Course is one of most prominent golf courses in South Carolina.The event features a field of 40 Bell Division players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 400 members and 94 alumni in the collegiate ranks.

The field is led by 2012 PKB Foundation Classic champion Madison Moosa (2017, Charlotte, NC).  Moosa currently sits in a tie for 4th on the PKBGT Order of Merit list.  A deep field, featuring 17 players in the top-1000 of the Junior Golf Scoreboard national rankings, the event will be wide open.  A trio of South Carolina players will look to claim their first PKB titles, including Nicole Chin (2014, Irmo, SC), Cayla Smith (2014, Easley, SC) and Grace Glaze (2012, Clemson, SC). The tournament champion will automatically qualify for the year-end Tour Championship in September.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
