PKBGT Hosts Chapel Ridge Open
Polo captures a big win with a 72!
Pittsboro, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour hosted its 24th event of the year on Sunday at the Golf Club of Chapel Ridge. The Ridge was in great form and the slippery sloped greens put an emphasis on shot making, and the day’s best performance belonged to Lucia Polo of Greensboro, NC making her way from Guatemala. Her even par 72, placed her in the winner’s circle by six shots.
“After a discouraging start, I told myself to stay strong and wait for opportunities. I was happy from that point I played 2 under par, “stated Polo after her big win.
Polo’s win opens up a huge door for the newcomer as she will now join the Peggy Kirk Bell elite players at next month’s prestigious Fall Invitational.
Following Polo was Kate Collom of Davidson, NC at 78, sister Annie Collom of Davidson, NC at 79, and Annika Bovender of Mt. Pleasant, SC with 85.
