Dole’s captures PKBGT Fall Preview Carolina’s Classic by 5 shots

Peggy Kirk Bell Girls tour Host Carolina Classic
Dole wins by 5 with even par performance.
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf tour Posted it’s first event of the fall this weekend at Waterford golf club. The event featured over 30 from NC, SC, VA.
The course conditions were indicative of links style play, demanding accurate tee shot placement and creativity around the greens. Evie Dole of Cary, NC proved to be up to the challenge as her even par performance earned her a 5 shot victory posting 72 – 72 –144.
The Hale Irwin design course is for the shot maker and after watching Dole navigate around the course it was clear to see that her tactician style of play and patience were a huge asset. Over the two days Dole recorded only two bogeys matching them with 2 birdies.
Dole stated after the round, “My focus was fairways and greens. When I made it to the green I told myself it is now time to demonstrate my great touch. If I made it great, but if not a tap in was all that would be needed. For the most part I did just that and I know that helped me to stay level headed on this difficult course.”
Dole’s performance earned her a spot for the prestigious PKBGT Fall Invitational in November and an AJGA exemption.
Following Evie Dole at 72-72 – 144 was Madison Moosa of Charlotte, NC 74-75—149,Hannah Craver of Winston-Salem, NC 78-76—154, Annika Bovender of Mt. Pleasant, NC 77-77—154, and Anne Taylor Hough of Spartanburg, SC 73-82-155.
The tour will head to Shenandoah Valley GC in Front Royal, VA in a couple of weeks to host the PKBGT Fall Preview Virginia Classic. An AJGA exemption and an invitational bid will await the winner.
