Devils Ridge Golf Club hosts PKB Triangle Open
Erica Gallerani is the victor with a 75!
Holly Springs, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf tour hosted the Triangle Open this Monday at Dvils Ridge GC. The weather was hot as temps soared to nearly 100 degrees, but the course held tough and so did the PKB girls’ as they climbed their way around the peaks and valleys of the course.
Finishing in the top spot this week was Erica Gallerani of Greensboro, NC who posted 75 in the steamy conditions. After the round Gallerani commented, “ I only made one birdie today, but I played really solid and my putting was great ! I was happy to make the turn at even par and then had a few bogeys on the back, but it was a fun day.”
Following Gallerani were Ashlii Thompson of Browns Summit, NC at 77, sister Anna Gallerani at 82, Betsy Dohrer of Apex, NC at 90, and Cari Albritton of Cary, NC.
In the Futures Division, Haeley Wotnosky of Wake Forest took home medalist honors with a 79, following her were Carrie Catherine Ganim of Greensboro, NC at 87, Savannah Gowarty of Raleigh, NC at 90, Ellen Smith of Cary, NC at 99, at and Sussanah Ireland of Wake Forest, NC at 103.
The next event on schedule for the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is at Bermuda Run GC West Course on Friday, June 22nd.
