On Friday, July 20, the 2012 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour concluded the PKBGT PGS JR GIRLS’ CHAMPIONSHIPS @ Bryan Park GC (Champions/Players). This was the 10th annual junior golf tournament that Precision Golf School has hosted. PGS has been a renowned golf school in Carolinas for over 23 years. Bryan Park GC (Champions/Players) are challenging courses for this two-day event. The event features a field of 61 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 400 members and 94 alumni in the collegiate ranks.
Gina Kim (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) wins PGS GIRLS’ JR CHAMPIONSHIP @ Bryan Park GC (Champions/Players) and is third player to be named golden in 2012!
In the Bell Division, Kim carded two under par with a score of 70 to place first with 73 + 70 = 143. Madison Moosa (Charlotte, NC 2017) carded one over par with a score of 73 to place second with 71+ 73 = 144. Jennifer Chang (Cary, NC 2018) two under par with a score of 70 to place third with 75 + 70 = 145.
In the Futures Division, Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, NC 2018) carded two under par with a score of 70 to place first with 82 + 70 = 152. Savannah Gowarty (Raleigh, NC 2015) carded even par with a score of 72 to place second with 83 + 72 = 155. Grace Massengill (Hickory, NC 2016) carded six over par with a score of 78 to place third with 81 + 78 = 159.
PKBGT returns Thursday, July 26 with the One-Day Open Series @ Devils Ridge GC in Holly Springs, NC. This is the seventh one-day event of the season, bringing together players from across North Carolina and Virginia.
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
