Tour Faithful, Taylor Allison of Elizabeth City, NC, takes home Mid Pines Victory.
Southern Pines, NC — On a wet and cold Valentine’s Day in Pinehurst, tour regualr Taylor Allison, brought home the champions trophy with an 83.
At the start of the morning, it was all rain drops and wind for the girls of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour. Finally, after lunch, the sun appeared in its strength and so did tour faithful Taylor Allison of Greensboro, NC. As part of the 2012 class on the PKB Tour, Allison is pushing to reach the 5 foot mark, but neither golf or Taylor allowed that to get in the way in route to victory.
The number one finish was the first in Taylor’s young carrier, but the smiling girl from Elizabeth City, NC is comfortable believing it will not be the last. Following Allison were Lori Beth Adams of Burlington, NC with an 86, Casey Ward of Chapel Hill, NC with an 87, Michelle Pilo of Apex, NC at 88 and Amanda D’ Ostroph of Whispering Pines & Kate Mohorn of Cary, NC at 89.
In the Futures Divison, first timer Lyndsey Hunnell of Troutville, VA, posted the tournaments low round of 80 in route to her win. Following her were Alaina Yeatts of Durham, NC at 84, Morgan Schultz of Raleigh, NC at 89, Hannah Craver of Winston – Salem at 89 and Marley Felhousen of Southern Shores, NC and Maggie Hill of Charlotte, NC at 94.
The PKB Girls Tours next stop will be at Furman University on Saturday and Sunday Feb. 28th and March 1st.
