30 girls have been named to the 2009 N.C. Girls’ All-State Golf Teams by the Carolinas Golf Association and the Tarheel Youth Golf Association, honoring those junior golfers who have had the most success in amateur and junior golf events at the local, state, regional and national levels over the past 12 months.
First team:
Lori Beth Adams of Burlington, Sarah Almond of Albemarle, Lizzie Bundy of Clayton, Megan Burnham of Gastonia, Allison Emrey of Charlotte, Katie Kirk of Davidson, Katherine Perry of Cary, Taelor Rubin of Raleigh, Kayla Sciupider of Etowah, Mattie Tobey of Denver
Second team: Taylor Allison of Elizabeth City, Sarah Bae of Raleigh; Lane Gakeler of Greensboro, Kristi Ingram of Winston-Salem; Michelle Pilo of Apex, Kathryn Rand of Hampstead, Andrea Robbins of Liberty, Tara Simmons of Goldsboro, Casey Ward of Chapel Hill and Mallory Warrick of Wilson.
Third team: Victoria Allred of Pfafftown, Nimeeta Bhasker of Advance, Emily Brooks of Chapel Hill, Hannah Craver of Winston-Salem, Andrea Estes of Cary, Samantha Gilder of Pinehurst, Madison Kennedy of Salisbury, Ashley Osiecki of New Bern, Kristin Rhodin of Asheville and Jane Shavlik of Raleigh.
These outstanding juniors will be honored at the N.C. Junior Golf Night Awards Banquet on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Little River Golf and Resort in Carthage, NC.
