Emrey lead wire to wire capturing the First Tee Open on the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour with a final round 72

Mooresville, NC — The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour was at Mooresville GC this weekend for its seventh event of the year.  The weather was some of the hottest of the year and so was Allison Emrey’s from Charlotte, NC’s golf game as the she claimed victory by three shots posting scores of 74-72 for a four over par total of 146.

The calm and collective Emrey went about her business as usual staying focused throughout the round despite an early round charge from Raleigh, NC Taelor Rubin who opened her round eagle birdie to take an early lead.

However, in the end it was Emrey’s consistent play that won out as she took home her first Peggy Kirk Bell victory of the year and her third title on the tour in her career.

Following Emrey were Hayley Hammond of Mooresville, NC with 76-73-149, Kristi Goodman of Easley, SC 78-75-153, Taelor Rubin of Raleigh, NC 75-79-154, and Kalie Goodman of Easley, SC with 79-79-158.

In the Futures division, Lyndsey Hunnell of Troutville, Va took home the title with 79-82-161, followed by Shelby Osiecki 81-81-162, Nicolette Donovan of Cary, NC 88-78-166, Jessica Spicer of Bahama, NC 85-83-168, and twin sister Sarah Spicer  81-88-169.

The tour will travel to Cary, NC in two weeks to play Lochmere GC on May 9th & 10th.
