Rock Hill, SC – This past weekend the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour hosted the Waterford Classic at Waterford GC.

The golf courses fast greens and demanding fairways kept players from subpar numbers, but the event was a great success as eleven new members joined the tour for the event.

Also, the competition for first in the Bell Division was decided by a single stroke as Kaitlin Matheson of Easley, SC edged out Lindsey Hunnell of Troutville, Va.

Both girls have won Bell division titles in the past, yet they were eager to post another victory on their resume.

In the Futures Division, Sarah Spicer of Bahama, NC posted the lowest round of the tournament with a final round score 73 and a two day total of 150 . The great final round gave Sarah a four shot victory over her sister Jessica, who was the round one leader after shooting 74 but posted 80 in the final round for a 154 two round total.

Following the Spicer girls were Emily Stinson of Charlotte, NC at 163, Mary Catherine Ligon of Chester, SC at 167, and Sara Moir of Roanoke, Va at 177.
