Moosa Takes Chapel Ridge Medalist Honors Moosa wins with 1 over 73! Pittsboro, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour were on the links for the second weekend in a row this Saturday at the GC of Chapel Ridge. The course will host the upcoming 4a girls regional at the end of the month and many of the high school girl golfers capitalized on the opportunity to play a competitive round on the course. Interestingly, the winner of the event, Madison Moosa of Charlotte, NC posted a 73, but she will not be competing in states for her team because she not yet in high school. The 2015 grad, moved up to the Bell division early this spring, and has continued to improve her scoring average at a considerably longer distance against tougher competition. “It was fun to finally win in the Bell Division. I got off to a great start today, and I was glad to play well,” stated Moosa after the round. Following Moosa were Candace Howze of Durham, NC with a 76, Mariah Hopkins of Greensboro, NC at 78, Stephanie Pribonic of Wake Forest, NC at 79 and Alaina Yeatts of Durham, NC and Kate Collom of Davidson, NC at 81. Also, Collom’s 81 earned her a PKB Invitational spot for the prestigious PKB Invitational at Stoney Creek GC on November 13th and 14th. This event was the last of the 2010 PKB Official Tour events and the tour 2011 Tournament schedule will be available online soon. The last big event for the year is just around the corner!
