Precision Golf students Katherine Perry of Cary, NC and Abby Bools of Hickory, NC both qualified for the US Women’s Open Championship regional qualifying tournament this week. Playing at the Local Qualifier held at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC, Perry and Bools were 2 or 17 players to qualify from the event.
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour Order of Merit leader Perry fired level par 72 to take 3rd place while East Carolina University stand-out Bools’ 77 took 11th place. The Sectional Qualifying will be played at Carolina Trace GC on June 11th.
