Kim, MacClurg win at One-Day Open Series @ CC of Petersburg

On Saturday, June 9, the 2012 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the One-Day Open Series @ CC of Petersburg. In the Bell Division, Gina Kim (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) carded even par with a score of 72 to win the tournament. When asked about her first win in the Bell Division, Kim responded, “It feels great to get my first Bell Division win. I felt confident with all my shots, so I knew today would be a good round.” Lucia Polo (Greensboro, NC 2013) carded three over par with a score of 75 to place second and Sarah Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) carded three over par with a score of 75 to place third.

In the Futures Division, Maddi MacClurg (Cary, NC 2013) carded 11 over par with a score of 83 to win the tournament. This was MacClurg’s first win ever. When asked about her win, she responded, “I can’t believe it. I never thought I would win.” Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, NC 2018) carded 14 over par with a score of 86 to place second and Erica Whitehouse (Mechanicsville, VA 2017) carded 15 over par with a score of 87 to place third.
