2019 Central Florida Series Schedule Release

With the kickoff of the 2019 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour season, we are excited to announce an expanded schedule for the Central Florida Series presented by the LPGA Symetra Tour’s IOA Golf Classic! In partnership with Insurance of America, the series will feature 10 events at some of the top destinations in the region.

With several new courses and events, we delve into the full schedule of events for the 2019 season.

The year kicks off in scenic Lake Buena vista at the Disney Golf Course on January 5th. The Disney course has previously hosted various PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and USGA events.

The tour heads to Sanford on February 9th for the Central Florida Series at Mayfair Country Club. The club hosted the PGA Tour’s former event, “The Mayfair Inn Open”, in the 1950’s.

Joe Lee’s exquisitely designed River Hills Country Club plays host to the next date on February 23rd as the PKBGT settles for the day in Valrico.

A two-day event in the tour’s return to Alaqua Country Club in Lakewood, FL takes place on March 2-3. Alaqua hosted the inaugural 2018 Central Florida Series kickoff last March in addition to hosting the PKBGT IOA Golf Classic Junior Qualifier . The champion of the qualifier (Sophie Guo -2019) earned an exemption to play in the LPGA Symetra Tour’s IOA Golf Classic this past September, which is also hosted at Alaqua Country Club.

The series closes out the month of March with a stop at Rogers Park Golf Course in Tampa on the 30th before heading to Oviedo and Twin Rivers Golf Club on the 30th. Twin Rivers’ carefully preserved natural environment earned the course a certificate of Achievement for Environmental Planning by Audubon International, and promises scenic views of nature in addition to a competitive round of golf.

Moving back to Tampa on April 27, the PKBGT is welcomed by first-time host Tampa Palms Country Club. The club is the former home of the Senior PGA Tour’s GTE Suncoast Classic.

The Central Florida Series takes over Orlando in the following two events at Eagle Creek Golf Club on the 4th of May and Orange Tree Country Club on the 18th.

On June 1-2, the Central Florida Series Girls Classic takes place in Daytona Beach at the LPGA International Jones Course. The course serves as the home course of the LPGA.

The 2019 Central Florida Series closes out on June 15-16 with the Series Finale at Saddlebrook Resort (Palmer) in Wesley Chapel.

We look forward to an exciting season at these prestigious courses throughout Central Florida! For more information on the events and registration, go to tournaments.pkbgt.org!
