Update: Chanticleer Classic at Coastal Carolina

On June 9, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the Chanticleer Classic at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC. The event features a field of 35 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. They will tackle the course at 5,721 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,287 yards in the Futures National Division.

In the Bell Division, Katelyn Lee (Easley, SC 2020) leads with an opening round of even par-72. Just behind Lee in a tie for second sits last week’s co-champion Elizabeth Coffren (Owings, MD 2020) and Megan Kanaby (Chapel Hill, NC 2019) at plus 1. Abigayle Hatcher (Roebuck, SC 2019) and Adrian Anderson (Murrels Inlet, 2022) are currently tied for 4th at 74 (+2)

In the Futures Division, Cori Langford (Blythewood, SC 2020) and Autumn Carey (Manning, SC 2022) are tied for first at 78 (+6). Just behind them in solo third sits Paige Paolucci (Blythewood, SC 2022) at 79 (+7). Regan Clifford (Mount Pleasant, SC 2020) and Ella Drew Dodd (Mount Pleasant, SC 2022) sit tied for 4th place at 80 (+8.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
