EVENT RECAP | |
Monroe, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour was at Stonebridge Golf Club on Sunday and amidst the constant showers there were some rays of light as Kristi Ingram of Winston – Salem posted an impressive round of 78. In such conditions, the 78 was easily comparable to a 74 on a moderate day, but Ingram hung tough through wind and rain to claim the victory. The victory was Ingram’s first on tour this year and should spark her confidence at the right time as the tour heads to native area, Bermuda Run, next week for its last event this month. Following Ingram were Devan Murphy of Charlotte, NC at 82, Samantha Gilder of Pinehurst, NC at 83, Taylor Penzer of Summerfield, NC at 84 and Kate Mohorn of Cary, NC at 87. In the Futures Division, Madison Moosa continued her reign atop the Order of Merit as she posted the lowest round of the day with a 76. Following the young star was Ashlii Thompson of Browns Summit, NC at 82, Jessica and Sarah Spicer of Bahama, NC and Taylor Trent of Reidsville, NC with 87’s. The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls golf Tours next stop will be in Bermuda Run, NC next Saturday and Sunday March 27th and 28th at Bermuda Run West GC. Come join us!
