Preview: NC One-Day Series Event at Pinewood CC

On Friday, July 1, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Pinewood Country Club. Pinewood CC, host to many Carolinas junior and amateur events, is a classic course for this one-day tournament. One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event features a field 25 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour.

The Prep Series field features 8 golfers, highlighted some standout players on the 2016 PKBGT Performance Index, including: Caroline Duggan (Holly Springs, NC 2019), Hailey Joy (Reidsville, NC 2018), and  Jenna Nagy (Apex, NC 2017).

The Futures Series field features 17 golfers, highlighted by some standout players on the 2016 Futures Series Order of Merit list, including: Aleigha Hodges (Ridgeway, VA 2018), Layla Meric (Wesley Chapel, NC 2021), Cassidy Vaughn (Holly Springs, NC 2018), and Katelyn Kenthack (Pinehurst, NC 2020)

The One-Day Open Series at Pinewood Country Club brings together players from North Carolina and Virginia. It should be a great event!

Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in each series.  We look forward to a great event!
