Update: Hawkins, Sambach Maintain the Lead at Srixon

The second round of the Srixon Tour Championship was underway today at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club.  Some early morning rain which continued into the afternoon proved to be a challenge for some players, while others seemed to thrive in it.

In the Prep Series, Emily Hawkins (Lexington, NC 2018) continues to lead the division after an even par 71 today. She is at 140 (-2) for the tournament. Behind Hawkins by three shots is defending champion Siranon Shoomee (Sanford, NC 2016) who fired a 1 under 70 today and has a 143 total. Following closely behind is Hailey Freedman (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) who is in third place with a 72-73-145 total. 17 players made the cut to tomorrow’s round, with the cut line being set at 155 (+13).

In the Futures Series, Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) continues to lead the field after two solid rounds of 72-71 for a 143 total. Following Sambach currently in second place is Carley Rudolf, (Virginia Beach, VA 2019) who shot rounds of 76-72 for a 148 total. In third place, outside of second by one stroke, is Muskan Uppal (Cornelius, NC 2019). Uppal shot 76-73 and has a total of 149. 15 players in the Futures Series made the cut to tomorrow, which was set at 162 (+20).

Play will conclude tomorrow where the top-six players from each division will be recognized.
