Update: Massengill, Harman lead Wolfpack Classic

On Saturday, June 6, the 2015 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the first round of the Wolfpack Classic at Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State University. Lonnie Poole, home to the North Carolina State University women’s golf teams is a demanding course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 64 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 425 members in 2014 and over 350 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.

In the Prep Series after round 1, Grace Massengill (Hickory, NC 2016) is leading the field by two strokes at one under par with a score of 71. Not far behind Massengill is Joliana Elias (Jamestown, NC 2015) at one over par with a score of 73 and Lauren Waller (Canonsburg, PA 2015) at two over par with a score of 74.

In the Futures Series after round 1, Jaden Harman (Harrisonburg, VA 2019) is leading the field by one stroke at one over par with a score of 73. Not far behind Harman is Nicole Adam (Mansfield, OH 2020) at two over par with a score of 74 and Emily Anderson (Matthews, NC 2017) at four over par with a score of 76.

Sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s are in the forecast for Sunday. Looks like a beautiful day for the final round!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
