On Saturday, November 1, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Last Chance Fall Preview at Forest Oaks Country Club. Forest Oaks, home to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro women’s golf team, is an beautiful course for this one-day fall qualifier tournament. The event features a field of 40 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf. The participants will be vying for five coveted invitations to the PKBGT INVITATIONAL at Grandover Resort (East Course) in November.
The field features 40 girls, highlighted by six of the top-60 players on the PKBGT Performance Index, including: Jessica Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) ranked 6th, Sarah Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) ranked 7th, Jensen Castle (West Columbia, SC 2019) ranked 25th, Moon Cheong (Charlotte, NC 2017) ranked 46th, Madison Moore (Westfield, NC 2015) ranked 54th, and Carley Cox (China Grove, NC 2015) ranked 56th.
The Last Chance Fall Preview at Forest Oaks Country Club brings together players from Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. The top-four finishers who have not already qualified will each receive an invitation to the PKBGT INVITATIONAL at Grandover Resort (East Course). The event brings together some of the best golfers on the East coast and in the Midwest. It is a highly ranked event by Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, AJGA Performance Based Entry, and Junior Golf Scoreboard. This event should not be missed!
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
