Katherine Perry Shoots 78 in 1st Round of US OPEN

Katherine played well today….actually she played extremely well.  She made a couple of mistakes on her back nine( holes 4 and 6), but overall she played a solid round of golf.   She was very disappointed with her score, especially knowing how well she she hit the ball.  We worked really hard this week on short game…typical US Open short game shots.    Katherine hit 10 greens, which was good for her first major tournament.  We worked a lot after the round on bunker shots and shots from the thick rough around the green.  She plays tomorrow afternoon.
