I watched all 18 holes today of the final group which included Precision students Katherine Perry and Kathleen Strandberg. It was good to see how they handled the pressure of playing in the final group. Both young women played very well, but it was Katherine Perry who continued her hot streak by winning the NC Amateur Championship by 2 shots over Patty Moore.
Katherine shot 71-71 for a two under 142 at Wilson Country club. Katherine has been quite a run to begin the summer with the win at the US Open Sectionals and now winning the NC Amateur. Her next event is the North-South Junior.
