The 2012 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour tees off Saturday-Sunday, October 13-14 at the CAROLINA’S Invitational Qualifier @ Waterford GC. Waterford GC is a challenging course for this two-day Invitational Qualifier. The top four finishers in the qualifier will receive automatic entry into the PKBGT INVITATIONAL @ Grandover Resort (East Course) in November. The event features a field of 20 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 400 members and 94 alumni in the collegiate ranks.
The field features 20 golfers, highlighted by six of the top 45 players on the 2012 PKBGT Order of Merit lists, including: Moon Cheong (Charlotte, NC 2017) in 7th position, Callista Rice (Mars Hill, NC 2017) in 17th position, Brittany Smith (Stanley, NC 2013) in 26th position, Carley Cox (China Grove, NC 2015) and Kathryn Carson (Mooresville, NC 2017) tied in 36th position, and Caroline Cox (Greensboro, NC 2013) in 44th position. Sarah Taylor (Rock Hill, SC 2014), Kinsey Soniat (Simpsonville, SC 2013), Kensington Wieland (Loudon, TN 2013), and Bella Harris (Greenville, SC 2015) will be playing in their first PKB event this season hoping to capture one of the four invitations to the PKBGT INVITATIONAL tournament.
The CAROLINA’S Invitational Qualifier @ Waterford GC brings together the top players from the Carolinas, Tennessee, and event Canada. It should be an exciting & challenging event.
