It was tight at the top of the leaderboard entering the final round but the day belonged to Kasey McIlvaine (Raleigh, NC 2023). McIlvaine pulled away from the rest of the pack by parring her first ten holes. From there she emphatically closed the door by playing her final eight holes in 2-under par to post a closing 70 (-2) and the only round under par for the tournament. This was McIlvaine’s first PKBGT win! Eleanor Burnette (Wrightsville Beach, NC 2023) started the day hot birdieing her first two holes of the day and adding a third on the par-3 sixth. She would go onto shoot a round of even par which would be good enough to finish in solo second. Zoey Cho (Suwanee, GA 2025) impressed by making four birdies on Sunday but would ultimately finish tied for third with Maria Isabella Errichetto (Southern Pines, NC 2027). Errichetto, who held a share of the overnight lead, made her lone birdie of the day on the 18th to share third place.

About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina. The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2022-2023 season will feature over 110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
