Stoney Creek, NC. – November, 2010 – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest girls’ golf tour, is hosting its year end invitational golf tournament this weekend at Stoney Creek Golf Club. The PKB Invitational will bring in 60 of the region’s top competitors to play off for the title at the newly renovated Stoney Creek Golf Course.
The PKB Girls’ Golf Tour is currently comprised of over 250 members that come from 7 states across the southeast region. 60 of the top members qualify and are invited to participate in the year-end event, The PKB Invitational. This year’s participants include four High School State Champions: Elyse Smindinger of Maryland, Kristi Ingram and Kayla Scuipider of North Carolina, and Lyberty Anderson of Virginia.
“We are very excited to bring such a high level of competition of girls golf to the Triad. Our recently renovated facility will be a challenge and we think this could be one of many national events at our golf club,” said Jimmy Dunn of Stoney Creek.
