Madison Kennedy takes home another PKB Title at Cabarrus Open!

Concord, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour hosted their nineteenth event this Tuesday at Cabarrus CC for the Cabarrus Open.

The weather was hot and so was the score of Madison Kennedy of Salisbury, NC as she coasted to a four shot victory over Libby Crawford of Chapin, SC.

The win marked Kennedy’s second PKB win with the first coming at Rock Barn Golf and Spa earlier this summer.

Kennedy remarked after the event on her round “ I think this is a great way to get ready for a big tournament this week at the Precision Jr. Girls Championships. That event is going to be a big event this week and I am looking forward to carrying this momentum into the next tournament. I am going to work on short game tomorrow because I know it will help me save a few more shots this week.”

Following Kennedy at 74 was Libby Crawford of Chapin, SC at 79, Sarah Bertram of Concord, NC at 81, Devan Murphy of Charlotte, NC at 83 and Lily Yatawara of Salisbury, NC with an 84.

In the Futures Division Isabella Rusher of Salisbury, NC took home medalist honors shooting a 78 to win by two shots over Sarah Spicer of Bahama, NC.
